Hi from Bali...
I just had a private Batik class with my neighbor from Australia this morning. So much fun.How sweet to meet a patchworker while staying in the middle of the rice fields...kindred spirits and beautiful fabrics are every where. Off to Anataha Villas tomorrow
To study yoga for a month. I am in heaven.

April 2012

It has been a very busy few months... Fibers truly are in motion! 20 bolts of bright fabric landed in Haiti to the glee of women who now get to create beautiful garments... I have been working on my trip to Bali for yoga, have some fair trade contacts to possibly import fabric to the states  (of course you will all be invited to see what I have found), meeting with friends for coffee, lunch, wine and walks, lots of yoga, Nia, pilates, water aerobics and I have been sewing! Lisa and I are working on quilt #5 for Care NW which is going through some big changes... so here is to Spring...

Fibers are in Motion...

It  is hard to believe it has already been over two weeks since I left my beloved Multnomah Village location. It was so emotional to drive out of The Village after 10 years of wonderful memories. I am busy launching my new future. I am putting together my Bali trip... Yoga first then some fair trade investigation for wonderful fabrics to import. I am taking Nia, Line dancing, water aerobics, Pilates and Woodland management classes... Bought a new MAC Pro so I am having fun going back to MAC and geeking out at the Apple store. Lisa and I are starting our new quilt for Care NW ... we are so proud to be part of this organization. It felt really wonderful to donate the remaining fabric from the store to my favorite charities... some of our fabric is flying off to Haiti next week with OSLC my church, some went to Care NW to make quilts for abused children, some went to Coffee Creek to help women who have made bad choices in their lives and they are now rehabilitating...
Fibers in Motion making a difference.
So... I do miss all of you and all of our great conversations, looking forward to our next rendezvous.
Off to Texas next week to visit my dear friend Caryl... not Quilt Market!
A'bientot,
LuAnn
